E-Learning Workflow

The Application

We provide an online application (developed by us) called Publ-x e-Learning and Web Conferencing. This application allows you to create, deliver and manage live or on-demand lessons. It also acts as your Learning Management System so you can organize your courses, track student and class progress, and view full reports. Because you can organize you content, lessons, student base, review reports AND delivery live and on-demand lessons we refer to our online application as a Training Management and Delivery System. The following information steps you through the process of developing and deploying a lesson

Develop the Course

To develop your course all you need is some presentations software, such as Microsoft® PowerPoint® or OpenOffice.org Impress. Instructional Designers or Subject Matter Experts do not need to learn authoring software. Create the course using the presentation software. Once your course is ready, upload the PowerPoint file or Adobe Acrobat PDF file to our secure server.

Insert Quizzes and other Media

Once your presentation is online you'll see a thumbnail view of each one of your slides. At any slide you’ll be able to create and insert a quiz, insert a graphic file or add a URL. You can also insert additional media, with our assistance, such as video clips, or animations. We can help you produce content.

Invite Students

Now you’re ready to invite the students. First choose whether you want the lesson to be delivered live or post it as an on-demand lesson. Then use the integrated e-mail tool to create and manage groups of students and send out your email invitation. At this point you can also post files for the students to download prior to the lesson.

Deliver the Course

After the student creates an individual username and password, access is granted to course calendar. (Because the online application is browser based the student can access the calendar from any computer; no special software is required.) At this point the student can download any files you posted, access an on-demand session when it’s convenient or access a live session at the appropriate time. Live presentations require a telephone so students can hear the instructor talk. (If you need to record a live session please see the Web Recording section.) Text chat is also available for students to the Instructor. On-demand presentations can contain audio files or text to read for each slide.

Track Your Results

Any quiz results generated during either a live or on-demand session are recorded into Publ-x e-Learning with web conferencing. During a live session and on-demand sessions you and the students see the results immediately. You can view reports based on a specific student, see overall results of a group of students, or see overall results of a particular quiz. The charts are easy to read which make it easy to notice any learning gaps.
